Welcome to Buttercups Chiswick. We are an Ofsted Outstanding nursery based in the heart of Chiswick. We are also part of the Buttercups group which has been providing care to children for nearly forty years.

Our Nursery Head Teacher, Laura, has risen through the Buttercups ranks, originally starting as a Nursery Teacher in our Syon Park setting. Laura continued her studies and was promoted to Room Head, Deputy Head and now she manages our Chiswick nursery. Recently she achieved her Level 6 Early Years Qualification.

Great Facilities

Buttercups Chiswick is a homely nursery set in a 4-storey Edwardian townhouse with bright, colourful play rooms and ample resources. Our town garden is packed with toys, activities and things to explore.

Great Team

Our qualified, caring team members receive ongoing training, both on and off-site. This nurturing and development continues throughout their time with us, inspiring the level of care and education your child receives. All children are allocated a key-person when they start, someone who is committed to their well-being. We have a gentle settling-in process as we know that some children find it harder to adjust than others.

Child-centred Care

The under 2s have a dedicated playroom with a quiet, calm feel. It is an enriching and enabling environment, and as we only allow up to 9 in this room, each child gets a very personal service. There is also a separate sleep room.

For the 2-3 year olds we have rooms filled with specialised play equipment. This sturdy furniture is made from wood, bamboo and other natural materials and encourages children to learn through play.

Our Montessori Approach

The top floor is the home of our preschoolers. Within it, our qualified teachers use a range of teaching philosophies to cater for childrens' differing learning styles. We have focussed Montessori sessions, Highscope activities and Forest School on Fridays, all of which combine to give children the best start possible. Forest School

Being a town house close to the station, Chiswick Buttercups has a well-stocked but compact garden, but we are fortunate to be able to take advantage of the huge garden and mini forest at our sister-site in Chiswick Lane. Forest School sessions are run by trained Forest School Leaders who guide children in using tools, building camps and exploring nature.
